Terms of Use
The agreement between you and Akwannya Hub when you use this website and the learner hub.
Last updated 17 August 2026
The short version
- Everything we offer is free. We will never ask you to pay.
- The work you submit stays yours. We do not take ownership of it.
- We only feature your work publicly if you agree, and you can change your mind.
- Treat other people well. Accounts that harm others can be closed.
- You can leave at any time and ask us to delete your account.
The full detail is below. It is written to say exactly what we do, not to be hard to read.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
2. It is free
Access to our programs, events and curated opportunities is free of charge. There is no tuition, no application fee, and no hidden cost. We will never ask you to pay to take part.
If anyone asks you for money in our name, it is not us. Please report it to akwannyahub@gmail.com.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date.
- Your account is for you alone. Do not share your password or let anyone else use your account.
- You must be 16 or over to create an account.
- Some roles, such as mentor or administrator, are given by invitation. Do not attempt to obtain a role you have not been given.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.
4. How to behave here
While using the hub, please do not:
- Harass, bully, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
- Post unlawful, hateful, or deliberately misleading content.
- Submit work that is not yours, or present someone else's project as your own.
- Try to reach accounts, data, or areas of the service you have not been given access to.
- Disrupt the service, test it for weaknesses without our permission, or interfere with anyone else's use of it.
- Use the service to advertise, or to send unsolicited messages.
If you find a security problem, please report it to us rather than exploiting it. We will not pursue anyone who reports a problem in good faith and gives us a fair chance to fix it.
5. The work you submit
Your work stays yours. Submitting a project to Akwannya Hub does not transfer ownership. You keep every right in it that you had before.
By submitting, you give us permission to show your work inside the hub for teaching, review and feedback. That permission is limited to running the service, and it ends when you delete your account.
Featuring your work publicly, on our showcase, Hall of Fame, or social media, is a separate thing and needs your agreement. You can withdraw that agreement at any time by emailing us, and we will take it down. The Privacy Policy explains what publication involves.
You are responsible for making sure the work you submit is yours to share, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
6. Our content
This website, its design, and the material we write, including the tech roadmaps, belong to Akwannya Hub. You are welcome to read, use and share them for your own learning. Please do not republish them as your own, or resell them.
Partner and third-party names and logos shown on this site belong to their respective owners and are used with permission.
7. Opportunities we share
We list jobs, fellowships, scholarships and events run by other organisations, and we check them before listing them. We are not the organiser. We cannot guarantee any outcome, and any application is between you and them, under their terms. Please read those before applying.
If a listing turns out to be inaccurate or fraudulent, tell us and we will remove it.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service running, but it is provided as it is. There may be interruptions for maintenance, or because of a provider we rely on. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue parts of the service.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Ending your account
You can stop using Akwannya Hub whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account by emailing akwannyahub@gmail.com.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly where someone is harming another member of the community. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to respond.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will say so on this page and update the date shown at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
